A clear design makes a better stencil.

Start with line art or a drawing on a light background. Your original and converted design will appear side by side.

Adjust your stencil

Adjust your stencil

Keep dark ink for drawings and lettering. Find outlines traces contrast edges in shaded images; complex photos may need cleanup.

Crop the original

Drag a rectangle on this image, or enter percentages below. Cropping always starts from your original.

Size & export

Height follows the cropped image ratio. Choose a width from 1–30 cm.

PNG includes 300 dpi size information. Set your print dialog to the dimensions above and 100% scale; disable Fit to page. Choose PDF for an A4/Letter page with calibration rulers.

Keep the lines. Keep your judgment.

Simple drawings, lettering and clear silhouettes work best. Fine lines can disappear when thinned; heavy shading may merge in ink mode. Use the original to check what changed. Your artist should assess and refine the result before applying a tattoo.

Do I need to sign in or spend credits?

No account or credits are needed to convert and export a local file. Your image is processed in this browser and is not uploaded by this tool. Retrieving a previously generated design uses your existing sign-in.

Will every photo make a usable stencil?

No. Busy backgrounds, soft shading and low contrast can create broken or unwanted lines. Start with clear artwork, crop away distractions, and compare both views. Large images are reduced to a maximum edge of 2048 pixels for conversion; zoom in on the exported PNG before printing.

How do I print at the intended size?

Set the width in centimetres or inches. PNG stores 300 dpi metadata; PDF places the design at the chosen dimensions on A4 or Letter, with 50 mm and 2 in rulers. Print at 100% / Actual size and turn off Fit to page. Measure a test print: printer settings can change scale.
