One subject, clear light and a simple background give the model a stronger starting point. These are input tips, not promises of an exact likeness.

A pet: Use an eye-level photo with the face and ears visible. Name distinctive markings; tiny fur details may need simplification.
A flower or plant: Choose a clear outline with petals and stems separated from the background. Overlapping bouquets can lose detail.
A meaningful object: Photograph the object straight on in even light. Mention the features that carry meaning; generated lettering can be inaccurate.

Before you generate

Will the design look exactly like my photo?

No. AI can change proportions, markings and small details. Compare the returned design with the submitted reference. Each refinement is another credit-consuming generation; an artist should review the final design.

Which photos are poor starting points?

Blurry images, low light, crowded scenes and very small subjects are harder to preserve. This tool creates standalone artwork; it does not preview a tattoo on skin or assess a cover-up.

Does my photo stay in the browser?

No. This AI tool uploads your reference to site storage and passes it to the configured model provider. New creations are excluded from public showcases by default, but that is not private-link access control or a deletion guarantee. For local-only line conversion, use the stencil maker.

What does a generation cost?

The button shows the current model’s credit cost before you generate. Your existing account, balance and credit packs work here. Uploading a reference does not itself start a generation.
